This home overlooks the Severn River outside of Annapolis, Maryland. Therefore, we had to carefully add on to this house working within tight site constraints and the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area requirements. Most of the first floor walls and main roof were kept in tact while we expanded to the side of the house. A new covered porch, extended front deck, and second floor cantilevers not only gave us the room needed inside, but it helped heighten the exterior aesthetics of the home. We worked closely with the homeowners providing interior cabinet drawings for custom built-in cabinets and stone tile designs for some of the flooring to give the home an organic feeling.
