• The Biltmore house was built next door to a Sears catalogue craftsman style house from the 1930's. We made sure that we fit into our context, but additional tried to not copy what had been previously built. Due to ever increasing pressure from county governments, zoning requirements additionally made sure that our overall height and mass of the home stayed within reason. Keeping in mind our height restrictions, we creatively created 3rd floor attic space using engineered truss technology. We were able to add valuable square footage, and additional bedroom and bathroom, while keeping overall costs down.
